four eyed girl
makeup tips for those gals with glasses: hide behind those lenses no longer!
eyes
attract attention to your peepers and make the eyeliner on your top lash line bold with a black gel liner. on the lower lash line, choose any eyeshadow darker than your eye color and sweep it directly under the waterline. bringing even more attention to the eyes, add a fun colored liner to your waterline. and remember your brows are framing your eyes, as well as the glasses frames, so keep them defined and beautiful.
lips
since your eyes will be very defined, as well as with the added element of glasses, your lips should remain fairly neutral, to balance out the eyes.
face
remember that glasses will cast a shadow below your eyes, so concealer is a must, especially if you already have dark circles. keep your foundation routine basic, and try to aim for a matte look.

transitions
as the beginning of the end of summer progresses, my mind cannot keep away from the thought of fall. summer wardrobes filled with uber-bright tones mixed with loud patterns begin their slow decent to the back of my closet, as neutrals and pieces that have been hibernating over the summer emerge. thoughts of school being just a few weeks away come in to mind sporadically. trailing along with those thoughts are building my fall wardrobe, and autumn look.
as neutrals will remain heavily present in my standard autumn look, pops of unexpected, vivid colours are crucial. keeping colour amongst the fairly basic fall colour scheme is essential to creating a look that is your own. perhaps a red lip, an orange bag, or a teal headscarf.
so keep your personality a dominant part of your style this upcoming fall. and try not to dread school as much as i do. ;)

i major in style.
today being the first day of august, the thought of school being so soon has entered my mind. while some initial thoughts were of dread and disgust, one particular notion stuck. back to school shopping. and a subcategory to that includes backpacks.
backpacks are a staple to a schoolgirl's wardrobe, as it is an essential to day-to-day school life to carry books. but a challenge to many is finding a practical bag that would get an A in aesthetics and functionality. so here are my picks for chic backpacks at every price range.
(prices in order from lowest to highest)

sketch
sketch |skeCH| noun 1 a rough or unfinished drawing or painting, often made to assist in making a more finished picture
the following sketches are two seperate collections i created during my stay in new york city with the help of many classes taught by one of FIT's best.
the first of both, goes by the title, Potent Grace. my inspiration for this collection was mainly driven by menswear with heavy yves saint laurent influence. the collection flows from fully structured outfits to very feminine pieces. in the midst of it all lands mixed pieces, like tux inspired dresses, or a sultry pant suit paired with a feminine touch of lace suspenders. a woman who can wear these pieces is powerful, potent. but she still maintains her feminine beauty.

the second collection is titled, Destined Prime. with the palette being limited to solely primary colours, this collection is fun, but maintains a couture edge with a futuristic aesthetic.
